Seeds of Intention Book Launch
Join me between 4–7pm* at Barbara's Bookstore in Burr Ridge, IL for light appetizers and drinks to celebrate the launch of my second novel in the Hesse Creek Series, SEEDS OF INTENTION. I'll be selling and signing books, and donating all of my proceeds from the event to CHILDREN'S HOME AND AID.
*I'll be making remarks around 5:45, but feel free to stop by anytime between the hours of 4–7, even if you can't stay.
Children's Home + Aid 97th Annual September Gala
I'm honored to have been a part of this incredible organization for several years now, as a member of their Woman's Board. This year, I'm excited to perform the duties of Mistress of Ceremonies at the 97th annual Gala, to be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago on Friday, September 8, 2017. They'll be celebrating ten wonderful years of work being done at the Mitzi Friedheim Center in Englewood, and raising funds for women and children in crisis.
SHOP FOR A CAUSE—Hinsdale Junior Woman's Club
Join local vendors, myself included, for Shop For A Cause—the Hinsdale Junior Woman's Club boutique shopping night. 100% of the net proceeds from exhibitor entry fees and raffle items go to support HJWC local charities. Great raffle prizes available, including a Walland Winter Basket, which has all of the essentials to get you through a winter night. The collection includes a tote, cozy cotton blanket, regular coffee, an Olive and Sinclair Coffee Bean Chocolate Bar, pecan sorghum butter, pinto beans, Benton's Ham Hock, cornbread mix, and chow chow. Everything you need to cozy up by the fireplace with a favorite winter meal...and a good book, of course! (I recommend Walland!) Food, drinks, and a great place to shop, all for a great cause! What more could you ask for?

BOOK SIGNING AT BARNES AND NOBLE AT VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
I'm delighted to have the opportunity to visit one of my favorite bookstores in one of my favorite cities; Nashville, Tennessee. If you're in the area, please stop by between 1-3 pm to say hello. TENNESSEE WILDFIRE VICTIMS RELIEF VISIT
My husband and I are excited to announce that we will be traveling to East Tennessee in mid-February to begin the process of distributing the almost $28,000 we raised for victims of the recent wildfires. We've partnered with Mission of Love in Cleveland, (Missionoflove.org) who will be providing volunteers for the rebuilding process later this spring. We will also be distributing Comfort Quilts, made and donated by members of eQuilters.com for those affected by the devastating fires. Check back in late February for photographs from this very special event.

I can't believe I get to return to my home state of Ohio, to host another event in one of my favorite bookstores ever. Fireside Bookshop in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I'll be spending the afternoon there on Saturday, October 8 (from 1-3, anyway!) Stop by and say hello! I'm hoping I'll see lots of familiar faces, along with meeting some new friends. It's homecoming weekend in Chagrin Falls, so the village will be looking even more spectacular than usual. Maybe we'll even cap the day off with an Indians playoff win!

Please join me for my first ever Author Event at Anderson's Bookstore in Naperville, IL on Monday, September 26 at 7pm. I'll talk briefly about my experience as a first time novelist and take any questions.
